DigitalQuill Labs starts from a simple belief: AI should make people more capable, not more dependent.

That is why our first product is not a chatbot, a cloud workspace, or another place to lose your work. Keep It Simple Studio is a local-first method for giving an AI assistant durable project memory, a visible plan, and a clean loop for getting from idea to shipped work.

We are launching two editions together:

• Keep It Simple Studio Basic is for beginners and non-technical builders. It gives you the prompts, guides, worked example, and dashboard you need to make an AI assistant remember the project and move one step at a time.
• Keep It Simple Studio Pro is for serious AI builders, PMs, coaches, and technical reviewers. It adds deeper project health checks, context ROI, workflow guidance, technical handoff briefs, and a more advanced local dashboard.

Both editions come from the same philosophy: the human owns the idea, the files, the decisions, and the pace.

The Problem We Are Solving

Most AI-assisted building fails in a boring way. The first chat feels magical. The second chat needs re-explaining. The third chat drifts. Soon the project is full of partial files, vague next steps, and decisions nobody remembers making.

That is not a creativity problem. It is a memory problem.

AI tools are getting more powerful, but raw power can also create more waste. More output does not automatically mean more progress. A longer conversation does not mean the project is healthier. More files do not mean the thing is closer to shipping.

So our work is focused on one question:

Did the human end up better off?

Our Declaration

We declare independence from memoryless chats, runaway token spending, vague progress, hidden project state, and tools that make the human feel like the least important part of the work.

We believe AI should help a person clarify the next best move, preserve context, surface risk, and explain work clearly enough that the human can judge it.

We believe project memory should be readable, portable, and owned by the builder.

We believe tokens should be spent in service of value, not volume.

Why Basic and Pro Both Exist

Basic exists because people should not need a technical background to start building. It keeps the workflow plain, guided, and approachable.

Pro exists because power users eventually need a sharper instrument. They need to know where the project is unhealthy, what context is costing, what still needs human feedback, and how to hand the work to a technical person without losing the story.

The products are separate because the audiences are separate. The mission is shared.

What We Are Measuring

Our internal standard is the AI Popsicle Index: not "how many tokens did we burn?" but "did the human end up better off?"

That means we care about:

• shipped work
• clearer decisions
• less repeated explanation
• visible risks
• honest testing responsibilities
• lower context waste
• stronger human ownership

That is the kind of AI tooling we want more of.
